Elimination of the article on pseudo-entrepreneurship is the first step
A number of criminal offenses in the economic sphere are being humanized in Kazakhstan.
Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the law "On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic on Improving the Law Enforcement System".
The document presupposes a more detailed specification of the powers of the criminal prosecution authorities, as well as further improvement of the activities of law enforcement agencies. Amendments and additions are made to the criminal, criminal procedural codes, the code of administrative violations and a number of laws.
President of the ALE “Almaty Association of Entrepreneurs” Viktor Yambayev commented on the cancellation of the article on "Pseudo-entrepreneurship from the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan".
- Viktor Veniaminovich, what do you think about the cancellation of Article 215 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on "Pseudo-entrepreneurship"?
- This contradictory article of the Criminal Code has led to monstrous corruption, in which representatives of government, fiscal bodies and law enforcement agencies were implicated. This whole story arose not come from a good life. VAT is not a value-added tax, it is a turnover tax. And by all truths and not truths we tried to hide from this tax. Legislation is constantly improving and it was more and more complicated to move away from this. It was almost impossible without the help of fiscal and security structures. Many people have suffered because of this article.
- Almost 10 years you have struggled for the abolition of articles215. What did play a decisive role in its abolition?
- Indeed. This problem was raised even before the creation of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs. But it's very good that Atameken correctly assessed all the weak points and brought this work to the end. In many respects due to the fact that the National Chamber has great administrative resources. Abolishing the article on pseudo-entrepreneurship is a great result. But this is only the first step, now we need to determine the VAT. I can congratulate "Atameken" with another victory in the fight against corruption.
