The Business Ombudsman met with Akin of North-Kazakhstan region

Bolat Palymbetov, the Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan, paid a working visit to Petropavlovsk.
Bolat Palymbetov met with akim of the region Kumar Aksakalov. Within the framework of the meeting they discussed a number of problems of entrepreneurs in the region, the positions of the region in the rating of the "Business climate", the level of corruption and the shadow economy in the region.
Entrepreneurs complained about the difficulty of obtaining land plots, the lack of transparency in their provision, as well as the problems, which impede the development of small business and which are created by local executive bodies in the districts of the region, and the lengthy processing of the veterinary certificate.
The Business Ombudsman also raised the issue in the sphere of ecology, which hinders the functioning of economic entities in the region. The lack of legally registered landfills for the placement of production and consumption wastes in almost all rural settlements, in connection with which the population and small and medium-sized businesses illegally place waste on existing dumps, which were formed in the Soviet times.
"The main goal of my trips is to discuss with the regional authorities the problems that were voiced at meetings with entrepreneurs and find ways to solve them. Going around the regions, I see that business is facing cyclical problems", - Bolat Palymbetov said.
Last year, 305 appeals within the line of business protection were received in North-Kazakhstan region. For 9 months of 2017 - 234 applications. Of these, 169 have been resolved positively.
Last year on 14th of July during the Business Ombudsman's trip to the North Kazakhstan region, he hosted 18 entrepreneurs on a personal reception. Out of 18 received appeals, 10 were positively resolved, 7 requests require amendments to some legislative acts, and work continues on them, and one appeal is being litigated.
