All PPP projects in Nur-Sultan to be analyzed for financial expediency
NUR-SULTAN. KAZINFORM – The akim of Nur-Sultan Altay Kulginov ordered to analyze all PPP projects for their financial feasibility for the budget and socio-economic efficiency, Kazinform correspondent reports.
"The Head of State urged to toughen responsibility for the obstacle to the development of domestic business up to criminal prosecution. At the same time, the President expressed criticism of the implementation of some PPP projects, where more than 90% of the cost is made up of the state's obligations," Altay Kulginov said during a meeting with the city's officials after the enlarged meeting of the Government of Kazakhstan.
The akim stressed that the very idea of PPP is discredited.
"As of today, the akimat has signed 9 agreements on 12 projects, including 9 projects that have commitments worth 37.5 billion tenge, which is 27% of the limits of state obligations set by the akimat. The total volume of attracted investments in these projects is 27.2 billion tenge," Altay Kulginov said.
In this regard, he instructed deputy akim of Nur-Sultan Askar Amrin to analyze all PPP projects for their financial feasibility.
"I instruct Askar Kemengerovich to analyze all PPP projects once again for their financial feasibility for the budget and social and economic efficiency," Altay Kulginov said.
