The Charter of the joint Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been signed in the capital of Kazakhstan,  atameken.kz reports. The event was held as part of the XII Astana Economic Forum.

The members of Chamber are Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey. It will contribute to the further strengthening of economic ties and increasing the volume of trade turnover between member states.

According to Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin, the Turkic-speaking countries have a favorable geopolitical position. Thanks to uniting in a single Chamber, countries will be able to compete in the major markets, and the creation of a consortium  would provide a way of entering markets with a single product.

“The Turkic Chamber was initiated by First President of Kazakhstan-Yelbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev in order to enhance regional development. Our country supports the idea of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry establishment and is focused on strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation and integration among our countries. The Chamber will allow us to create new mechanisms for the growth of trade,” Askar Mamin said.

Many enterprises are faced with the lack of information about the conditions of export of products, as well as the requirements for it. The Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry is going to solve this issue.

Chairman of the Board of Atameken NCE RK Ablay Myrzakhmetov has proposed to establish a common Center of Competence on management experience exchange. It will deal with search for a solution to the problems.

“We need to create conditions for entrepreneurs to receive information about exports, prices and partners on a web-portal. In Kazakhstan, about 500 thousand entrepreneurs use Atameken services portal,” Ablay Myrzakhmetov said.

He added that in the Turkic countries has a huge potential with 152 million people. The total GDP amounts to more than 1 trillion dollars. Integration into the Chamber is not a desire to show a fraternal community, but a great economic potential.

“The Chamber has been established and now it is necessary to set tasks. Atameken proposes to cooperate in light and food industries, agriculture and construction. Each country develops these sectors, we have competencies, and we could unite in some sectors. Given the huge markets of China and Russia, it is also possible to create industrial zones,” Ablay Myrzakhmetov said.

Also, the countries need to resolve customs duties problems and pay particular attention to customs points.
