Today, within the extended meeting of the Presidium of the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan with the participation of the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev, the Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs’ Rights, Bolat Palymbetov, spoke about the measures taken to protect the rights of entrepreneurs.

The Head of State, in the annual Address to the people of Kazakhstan, pointed to the need to reduce pressure on business. The implementation of these instructions by the Government has yielded certain results.

According to Bolat Palymbetov, the number of criminal cases on economic offenses for the past two years has decreased by 80%.

"The amnesties announced by the President of the country, timed to the 25th anniversary of Independence, allowed more than 640 convicted entrepreneurs to return to economic activity," the speaker said.

False entrepreneurship has been decriminalized as criminal offence. Thanks to the support of the Government of Kazakhstan, the threshold was raised from 2 thousand to 20 thousand MCI for the criminal responsibility of individual entrepreneurs for non-payment of taxes.

In conclusion, B. Palymbetov noted that representatives of the business community participate in all commissions and working groups with central state bodies. This makes it possible to solve many issues of entrepreneurship. By the same principle, it is necessary to ensure representation from regional business in commissions and working groups in regions, cities and districts.

"Today, business is being rebuilt for the new realities of the economy, it is being compressed, production is being optimized, it operates under the state programs. The state, in turn, creates good conditions for entrepreneurship. In general, there is a multifaceted work that will certainly help achieve the set goal of ensuring the contribution of small and medium businesses in the GDP of the country by 2050 at least 50%," the Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs’ Rights summarized.

«...Domestic business, the so-called national bourgeoisie, should be supported in every possible way, and those who prevent its development by unreasonable inspections, extortions, raids should be strictly punished...»
